Dubai International Career Workshop "simply...beyond"

The international workshop that brought together students and alumni from Fotabe University, Rome Business School Cameroon, Indian Institute of Logistics, and Good Ocean Maritime Institute of Logistics had as objectives:

  • To expose participants to career opportunities in UAE which is home to over 200 nationalities.
  • To provide a truly global experience that will define their careers and their lives.
  • Enable participants to scale at high speed and change the direction of their career from national to international.
  • Introduce participants to the benefits of the partnership between FUNIC and GML and International internship.

From the 31st of October to the 4th of November 2017, an International career workshop with the theme: “simply… beyond” was co-organized by Good Oceans Maritime Institute of Logistics, Dubai and Fotabe University, Cameroon.

This international career workshop exposed participants to the opportunities available in the logistics and shipping industry around the world, and especially in Dubai, which is the melting pot of shipping and logistics.

Important highlights of this international career workshop included company visits to the National Association of Freight and Logistics (NAFL), UAE, International Shipping and Logistics, a company owned by the famous Tata group and Port Jadaf/ ship yard.

During this event, an MoU was signed between Good Ocean Maritime and Fotabe University, to run Professional Diploma (Logistics and Shipping) programs, to provide International internship of FUNIC students in Dubai and India and to admit students from Cameroon into Indian Institute of  Logistics in Chennai/ Kochi:
